Dear World,
Too often my contributions to you have seemed so devastatingly insignificant. You’ve given me gladiolas, a new marriage, fine furniture, rekindled friendships, turkey, a 21 speed mongoose, a Yorkshire terrier, rain, lamb with mint jelly, sledding, gelato, three terminator movies, a path around a lake and two strong legs to move me. I’ve given you . . . well . . . less than that. You’ve had this coming for a long time now—something I feel is worthy of our relationship: 22 mouth watering poems, 3 bright-eyed pieces of fiction, and 6 pitch perfect letters. All brand new. All worth a sit down. And for once, I don’t feel so small. Read these. Listen to the authors read them to you. They may just even us out.
Talk soon,
Christopher Goodrich
